About Us

Derbyshire Alpacas was established some five years ago with three animals. From the small beginnings, the herd has thrived on the rich pastures in the lowland fringes of the Peak District and now around fifty alpacas can be seen roaming the fields. The land has been tested to ensure that the essential trace minerals are present to maintain healthy and happy alpacas.
